Carb provides energy but too much results in insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome (including high blood pressure & high cholesterol), type 2 diabetes, body fat, inflammation and an impaired ability to fight off infection. Inflammation is implicated in mental health disorders including depression and inflammatory diseases such as osteoarthritis and heart and circulatory disease. A variety of cancers are also associated with metabolic syndrome.
Choose and set your target daily carbohydrate intake based on the RDA, your age, sex, and target calorie intake based on your level of activity, diet, and information provided in the app. Both calorie and carb targets can be changed at any time.
Watch your progress towards your target daily intake every day in real-time as you use the keypad or speech recognition if available (touch the microphone icon) to record your food and beverage intake.
You can also view your progress over time on your Month view dashboard, and export your food diaries into a spreadsheet for your own information or to share with your healthcare provider.
Apple's HealthKit functionality is integrated in the app's user interface so you can share your data with Apple's Health app. You can also synchronize the app with all your Apple devices.
The foods and amounts you eat can be recorded easily and quickly using speech recognition or by favoriting (touch broken heart icon) foods and using the serving sizes provided (which you can change to your serving sizes if different).

The interface is easy, quick, and intuitive to navigate, but it can be useful to familiarise yourself with the full functionality of the app by touching the icons, words, and bars on every screen and swiping left and right on the Tracker screen.
No internet, registration, personal details or additional payments are required.
