BEEN THERE TOGETHER is a single player card game for playing in public spaces. Whenever you are bored and surrounded by strangers, this game gives your time a meaning. Challenge yourself with questions and tasks to get to know the people around you.

BEEN THERE TOGETHER was designed as an alternative to mobile games, which pull the player into the virtual reality. BEEN THERE TOGETHER, on the contrary, encourages the players perception of society and his/her surroundings. By providing challenges, context, and aesthetic pleasure, it creates an exciting experience that differs from the ordinary daily activities.

Its purpose is to overcome the individual’s alienation in society. By simple questions and tasks, the player is drawn into a magic circle of play in reality, in areas that are normally not intended for play.

It creates a temporary world in the midst of an ordinary world, transforming the everyday experience and the individual’s perception of public spaces.

The player can choose from 4 difficulty modes and decide which intensity of play they prefer. Its modest design allows the player to play the game without noticeably changing their behavior in public, and it is entirely their decision if they want to admit that they are just playing a game or not.

/IMPROVEMENTS/

Visuals, visuals, and again visuals! With this update, we have focused on updating our visual appearance. Collaborating with a young graphic designer from Slovakia Filip Ruisl we have improved our visual language. Based on the feedback of users we have balanced the contrast and intensity of our colors in connection with texts. Thanks to another awesome graphic designer Ondrej Jób, we have “up-great-ed” our font. Please meet Monoxil Pro, we are from now going to be using it as our main font.
Categories are now clearer! For how many players, or what is the context and content of the cards in one category, you can still move between categories as you like.
When we say visual language we also mean language! Now we are talking directly to you. We tried to cut the crap and explain only necessary things. We hope you will like it!


/NEW FEATURES/

There are a couple of important new features. The biggest deal-breaker is that from now on, you have different options when choosing which pack of BEEN THERE TOGETHER to play. You can either enjoy one of our free online packs open to everybody or you can log in to a special edition. Together with our clients, we are creating alternative rooms in the app where teams can enjoy their privacy as well as have targeted cards for their needs.
Big improvement in the new features section we see also in our “sharing experience platform”. You can share what happened to you during playing or get inspired by the experiences of others directly in the app. Posts are created by you by an integrated share button in the gameplay.
We have added a whole new “Stories” section. Did you sometimes miss the context of the card or wondered why we are asking you to do this and that? Say no more! We got you. In our “stories” section you can find behind stories, contexts, fun facts about the topic, or why we have decided to put this card into the pack. It is an extra benefit, so it might be that not all the cards have those. It's especially useful for our clients that want to comment or add extra information to the cards. This way a client as a gallery or an NGO organization can talk to the players more directly and give them a context of the task or challenge. And of course, the player can enjoy more value and engage more into performing the cards!


/FIXES/

Gathering a lot of feedback from you (users!) was essential in this update. We have fixed the swiping mechanism so it suits your needs and speed, added “swiping” buttons (if preferred than swiping) and fixed a problem with sharing buttons. From now on you can share your experience, picture, or drag a photo from the gallery directly to the feed in the app. You can then share those posts on your social media, no more Twitter involvement, no more confusion.
